Robert A. Royal is a shareholder with the Phoenix law firm of Tiffany & Bosco, P.A., where his practice emphasizes intra-corporate dispute and director, officer and manager liability issues. His practice has been limited to litigation. He has often lectured to Arizona lawyers and others on topics involving litigation issues and litigation skills. His special emphasis involve disputes and litigation between shareholders, directors, officers and managers, has led to Mr. Royal publishing, lecturing, and serving as an expert witness in the area. Mr. Royal has chaired several seminars concerning business and corporate litigation and related topics, providing information to hundreds of attorneys. He was the author of the litigation sections of the Arizona Business Corporations Act and oversaw the writing of the other sections of the Act that reflect on litigation issues. He served as a consultant regarding passage of the Arizona Limited Liability Act. He is the litigation editor of the treatise, “The Arizona Corporate Practice Guide.” Mr. Royal also is the founding chair of the Arizona State Bar subsection on Business and Corporate Litigation. Mr. Royal founded and chaired the Business and Corporate Litigation Special Interest Group of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel and the committee to introduce legislation to update Arizona’s Limited Liability Act. He currently chairs the Litigation Subcommittee for the Arizona State Bar Association, tasked with revising and rewriting the Arizona Limited Liability Company Act.
